An estimated 85,000 Crows invaded the Town of Kentville in the Fall of 1998. They were looking for warmer places to roost every night after spending their daylight hours out on cold, wind swept Fundy islands. The Crows were not welcome visitors as they bombed local sidewalks, automobiles, buildings and an occasional pedestrian with their poop. The town council declared war on the birds and after weeks of loud but bloodless battles, the Crows left for new roosts a few miles away. This series of mono prints celebrates the intelligence of the big birds, and tries to see the Crow War from their perspective.
